Layla Hakim
Limited Openings:
In-person on Wednesdays
Online on Fridays, Saturdays
Layla’s work focuses on laying the foundations for individuals, couples, and families to create a safe and inclusive space during sessions while focusing on their emotional healing. In this therapeutic process, you will be working collaboratively to help identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. She works from an integrative model that utilizes strengths-based, family-of-origin, relational, and collaborative approaches. Layla is conscious of clients' spiritual and religious perspectives and can incorporate spirituality into the therapeutic process to the extent desired. Currently, she is a counseling intern with Sea Change Therapy and a master’s student in Marriage and Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University.
A major focus in her work is around family-building such as fostering, kinship, customary care, and adoption. She also specializes in therapy dealing with trauma, anxiety, and disruptive attachment within sessions. This approach employs different modalities ranging from Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Brainspotting.
The key to her therapeutic process is to remain “client-focused” throughout the sessions while providing them with the safe space, encouragement, and tools needed to empower them to face their challenges.

Each of us is navigating a unique journey and encountering barriers along the way. At times, we may find ourselves feeling lost or stuck. Much of our longing stems from three simple but profound needs: we want to be seen, chosen, and understood. Whether you're grappling with excessive self-criticism, physical symptoms of emotional dysregulation, or the aftermath of challenging life circumstances, transitions, or oppressive social systems, I'm here to offer support. Together, we can work on regulating your nervous system and fostering a fulfilling and healthy life.
Soleil is a genuine, warm, transparent and collaborative. She sees individuals, couples, and families. She holds the belief that personal agency is a powerful catalyst for change and growth. In your collaborative journey, your work will be guided by your goals, strengths, challenges, values, beliefs, and perspectives.
In addition to empathetic conversations, your sessions may include: analyzing patterns of thoughts and behaviors, guided mindfulness, investigating parts of self, noticing sensations in the body, relaxation training, exploring relationship patterns, growing self-acceptance and self-nurturing skills, uncovering survival mechanisms, and more.
