Clinical Intern Therapist
Soleil Brandenfels
I believe we all have the same profound needs: we want to be seen, chosen, and understood.
Hi, I’m Soleil.
Each of us is navigating a unique journey and encountering barriers along the way. At times, we may find ourselves feeling lost or stuck. Whether you’re grappling with excessive self-criticism, physical symptoms of emotional dysregulation, or the aftermath of challenging life circumstances, transitions, or oppressive social systems, I’m here to offer support. Together, we can work on regulating your nervous system and fostering a fulfilling and healthy life.
Maybe your relationship is rocky and you’re seeking help. Perhaps your relationship with yourself isn’t where you want it to be, or the dynamics in your family are becoming untenable. No matter the circumstance, I believe in the power of therapy to help you find the solutions you need.
My background & approach
As your therapist, I am genuine, warm, transparent and collaborative. I see individuals, couples, and families. I hold the belief that personal agency is a powerful catalyst for change and growth. In our collaborative journey, our work will be guided by your goals, strengths, challenges, values, beliefs, and perspectives.
In addition to empathetic conversations, our sessions may include: analyzing patterns of thoughts and behaviors, guided mindfulness, investigating parts of self, noticing sensations in the body, relaxation training, exploring relationship patterns, growing self-acceptance and self-nurturing skills, uncovering survival mechanisms, and more
I am trained in family systems theory, attachment theory, and sexual health. My background in early education and caregiving has given me an intimate look into the needs of our youngest, as well as the challenges faced in modern-day families.
I’m currently completing the final months of my Masters of Science Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University. I completed my undergraduate education in Canada, and in my free time enjoy hiking and petting all the dogs.
